2      Check with a qualified personal trainer for an effective routine. Learn to do each exercise to maximize the benefits and minimize the risk of injury. Do not take advice from other bodybuilders because they can not know what they are talking about. 


3        train the entire body, then take two days off. Note that not only the muscles need time to recover, liver, kidneys and other organs need rest.

 4       get eight hours of sleep each night and take steps to manage stress in your life. If you yourself ragged at work or part of the weekend, your body will be too weak to increase muscle mass.

  5        Remember to do aerobic exercise for overall fitness. Lifting weights first, then press the track or an elliptical machine.

  6        Keep a training diary. Enter the number of sets and reps you did for each exercise and how much weight you lifted. Each time you complete 2 sets of 10 repetitions, increase the weight.
