How to Lose Weight by Walking
1. Walk upwards on an incline... either a treadmill or a hill
This totally beats flat surface walking when it comes to burning off a ton of fat. It's not even close. Once you do this once or twice, you'll see what I'm talking about. This is great while normal walking is pathetic.
Normal walking is a complete waste of time. However, you can do this type of walking and get a lot of fat burning from just 20-25 minutes a day, 4 days a week.
I recommend you set a treadmill to an incline of 15 degrees or so. Since I don't know what type of treadmill you're using, just estimate the incline angle. It's not much. But that tiny bit does amazing things for the body. You can do this on a hill if you live in a hilly area... that's awesome, but then you might have weather related issues. Stick with the treadmill if you can.
2. Walk up and down stairs
You probably already do this everyday. Well, I want you to do this for 15 minutes NON-STOP. This makes a big difference when you do it all at once. Hopefully you have some stairs in your house... but an apartment building or condo building stairs also works.
